SuperBlogger is a new powerful plugin adding blogging functionality to Joomla! 1.5 articles, from JoomlaWorks. The plugin integrates popular services like Disqus.com (for comments) and Twitter, along with commonly used blogging tools like tagging, rating, bookmarking and social media sharing. Add to that MVC template overrides and the ability to process images server-side and and you got a real Wordpress contender, if not better in some areas!
SuperBlogger's features can easily be set in the plugin's parameters, so you can choose which elements you want to make use of in your Joomla! website.
We have added unique styling to Refraction, for the plugin's output to be seamlessly integrated. However, please note that it is a commercial plugin and is available for 7 Euros.
NOTE: The SuperBlogger plugin is NOT included in this Refraction RocketLauncher release.
Eddie “Kane” Houston II
It is said in life a man’s character is not defined by how many times he falls but rather how many times he gets back up. It is also said that test and trials only come to make you strong and through the overcoming of our trials we become a testimony to help someone else. Now if the previous two statements are true then the character of Eddie Houston II should be an inspiration to us all.
Eddie “Kane da Boss” Houston was born on October, 19, 1982 in Seneca, South Carolina to his mother Prescilla Holmes. He was the middle of three siblings. Eddie had limited interaction with his father and his mother was fighting her own demons in the form of abusive boyfriends, drugs, and a 2 ½ year prison sentence due to check fraud. This was an emotionally trying time for Eddie and his siblings. Despite these setbacks there were some constants in Eddie’s life. Those constants came in the form of his uncle Brad Vermer, his grandmother Birtin Pennermon, his grandfather Paul Houston, and his love of music. Without hesitation his uncle Brad rose to challenge and became the father figure Eddie so desperately needed. In Eddie’s life music was personified. Music wasn’t a hobby but rather a friend.
Eddie’s love of music became apparent at the age of 7. He began singing and also quickly discovered his ability to effortlessly put words together. Eddie continued to work at his hobby. This hobby evolved into a craft that Eddie was determined to master. Eddie developed his ear for music by listening to his uncle, Ron, play the guitar and keyboard. Ron was a local disc jockey and played for several local bands. By the time Eddie was 13 he developed the ability to write songs in a structured format. For young Eddie there was no doubt that the music business was the life for him. Things were looking up for Eddie, there was finally stability. Then the unthinkable happened, his grandmother died.
Mourning the loss of his grandmother took Eddie to a dark, lonely, and angry place. His grandmother stood as a pillar of hope in the family, now she was gone. The angrier Eddie became, the more drawn he became to street life. Everything choice we make has consequences and Eddie was no exception. As a result the choices Eddie made placed him in the position of facing possible jail time. This was the moment of clarity. Eddie decided to leave the streets and pursue music fulltime. He was now determined to use music as a tool to make a better life for him and his family.
Eddie, now more focused than ever, was ready to take on the world. Eddie became a virtual library of music, writing every chance he could. As fate would have it Eddie linked up with producer and friend Aaron Everett. This meeting would lay the foundation for the Young Dynasty imprint. The two would prove to be an unstoppable force, constantly working around the clock. Eddie, through his work ethic and talent, began to create a following. Everyone took notice, especially local artists. Eddie now was not only an artist but also began to develop and manage various acts. Artist respected Eddie because they admired his drive and they knew he had their best interest at heart.
Life had come full circle for Eddie. He had weathered the storm and just like a tree planted by the river he stood tall! Eddie admits that without the love and support of his Charles, his sister Tamara, his uncle Brad, and his grandmother he never would have made it. Eddie turned tragedy into triumph, standing as a testimony that is applicable in all of our lives. If it is true that an organization reflects leadership, then the sky is the limit for the Young Dynasty brand.
